God in Heaven is Our Father
Find out how God in heaven is our Father. Many people have gone through life without a physical father and desires a father’s love and provision.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth” (Genesis 1:26).
God’s purposeful creation of the heavens and the earth extends also to those He created in His image. Our lives have purpose and meaning because we are the handiwork of the Creator God who “fearfully and wonderfully created us and fashioned our days before they came to pass (Psalm 139:14-16). Not only are we physically created in God’s image to represent Him on the earth, we are spiritually created in Christ when we are born again. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Cor. 5:17).
God our Father, before He created us made sure that everything, we will need for our existence on earth was provided and since that time He has not been adding to His creation. Which means God considered the billions of people who were unborn from the beginning and made provisions that extended to all humans.
He is a good Father who knows the needs of His children and cares for them. All we must do is to believe in Him and trust Him to give us what we’re asking for.
If God loved you enough to send His only Son to die for you, then doesn’t He love you enough to bring about His will in your life if you are being obedient to Him? You may know some things about God, but if you really knew God’s love for you, you would not doubt Him.
He wants us to be assured that we can trust Him to act in our best interests no matter what the situation. You must know God so well that no one can talk you out of His goodness towards you. If we believe our earthly fathers who are evil to give us good things how much more our heavenly Father who created us (Matt. 7:9-11).
Once people admit their need, they should turn away from their emptiness and focus on God’s fullness!
Consider this:
- Do you see God as your Father?
- Do you know that God has given you dominion over the things of this earth as His child?
Prayer: Father, You are a good, good Father, who loves, cares and knows the needs of Your children. You are the shepherd of my soul, let my heart accept Your provision and rest in You. Amen!
