How to Overcome Fear
How do you overcome fear when someone or something looks dangerous which can cause you pain or threat? Here is how to deal with fear.

So then, what is fear?
Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is a threat of harm, real or imagined.
Fear and anxiety sometimes last for a short time and it passes, but it can also last much longer and sometimes gets stuck with you. In most cases, fear can take over your life, controlling and affecting your ability to sleep, eat, travel, concentrate.
Here Are Some Points To Consider
As much as you want to overcome fear, you must be intentional to change. Change the way you think about yourself. The things you think about that makes you fearful.
Contemplate areas where you need restoration and ask God to activate His plans and blessings in your life.
Remember, change takes time. It is sometimes uncomfortable and painful because you have to be intentional to open old wounds to get your healing.
Anyone who needs to live a best life has two choices. The first is to continue staggering along in life, just trying to get through each day, and the second is to say; “I have enough misery, unhappiness, pretense, guilt and shame,” I’m ready to do whatever it takes to be made whole.
Three Things To Do To Overcome Fear
- Reflect on your attitude towards yourself
This is to help you get in touch with your inner self. What specifically would you like to change? Set a goal to change, then write a prayer of praise and worship to God for His restoration and help.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You – Isaiah 26:3
2. What are some of the battles you are fighting?
Identify what is causing that fear. It’s important to know the enemy you are fighting with, what you are dealing with, which will enable you to be in a better position to defend yourself.
Then, write a Scripture that is in line with your problem asking God to redeem you from it. Ultimately, you can include a request for God to show you His original plan and will for your life.
Life has meaning only when God is the context for it all!
3. Ask God to reveal any situations, people or circumstances in your life that constantly divert your attitude from your intended course.
What are some of the road blocks in your life which scares you to move on in life? The Lord’s plan for you is to live an abundant life, enjoying His best life for you.
So as you ask Him, He will reveal those areas in your life that is stopping you from progressing in life.
