You Were Created For a Purpose
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.(Jeremiah 1:5).“
Your life was planned by God! There is a reason why you are here on this earth. You are not unwanted; you were planned by God to bring you into this world in such a time like this. You have something to give to your generation, an assignment that only you can fulfill. So let your life count.
When we look at the birth of Jesus Christ, before He was born, God announced through His prophets the purpose for His birth and what He was coming to do on this earth. Jesus Christ is the light Who will shine in our darkness. “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined. Isaiah 9:2”
Jesus Christ came to the world to save us from our sins and deliver us from all unrighteousness and reconciled us back to God in former state of relationship with Him, that which was lost through the sin of Adam and Eve. So, from the word go, Jesus Christ knew why He was coming into this world. The same as John the Baptist.
In the same way, each one of us was born with a purpose, which we need to identify to fulfill our potential. Our one purpose in life is to first worship and have fellowship with God.
Consider this:
- Have you considered why you are here on this earth?
- Do you know that God has a purpose for your life?
Prayer: Father, I thank You for my life. Thank You for Your plans and purposes for my life, help me to live according to the purpose for which you created me. Amen.
